I met a singer/songwriter named Jeff Thomas this past Wednesday at the Firefly's Open Mic in Framingham, MA. Three days later, I was talking to him on the phone. Would I consider performing as a duo at a place called "Catch 22" in Ashland ? Although this is a regular solo gig for Jeff, the owner was requesting that he consider performing as a duo occasionally. Needless to say, I was amazed. I think that "you never can tell" should be my new mantra. We will both perform our original music, then join guitars for a vast variety of select cover songs. Overall, I have no idea what to expect because I've never been to "Catch 22"-- but I'm stepping over this new line anyway. I appreciated the original music Jeff performed at Firefly's and was struck by his sincerity and easy manner. He's also a very good guitar player! Stop by on Saturday for what could well be the genesis of a new collaboration!
